Meet the Winning Designers of Passport to Style!

Passport to Style is a project of Fashion Group International, San Diego. It is a way to connect emerging professionals in fashion design with local boutiques and consumers. In addition to gaining exposure and real-world experience, students will also have an opportunity to earn thousands of dollars in scholarships.

Dozens of budding designers submitted their ideas to a panel of fashion industry experts. The panel selected the top 15 fashionistas to compete in the final round where their concept was prominently displayed in a local boutique from September 5th - 13th.

The project connected local consumers by inviting them to pick up a passport at any of the 15 participating boutiques. Passport holders were allowed to vote on each of the independent designers but also received incentives and shopping discounts throughout the week.

The Passport to Style finale event was on Sunday, September 14th. This evening featured the best in art, music, food and fashion. Attendees enjoyed a high energy runway show by the final 15 designers as well as the scholarship awards!
